Christy Kwan is the volunteer co-chair and member of the DC chapter of Families for Safe Streets, which confronts traffic violence in DC through advocacy and peer support. Christy’s cousin, Jamie Lai, was killed 22 years ago in a crash. Today Christy volunteers to organize families and survivors so that no other families suffer the loss or life altering injuries that have physically, emotionally, and spiritually impacted our communities.
